Okay…this should actually be titled “Four-Wheeler Second…” Here’s the deal. Santa brought Luke this four-wheeler this past Christmas. He rode it once on Christmas morning and fell off of it. It’s taken him eight months to get back on it. My son’s no quitter! lol He rode it around the yard all by himself today and we’re so proud! You can tell by the look on his face that he’s pretty proud of himself, too! ;o)

Popcorn Flowers
I just had to share my “Popcorn Flowers” with you all… Yesterday, my son, Luke, and I were outside enjoying the wonderful spring weather we’ve been having. As we walked around the pond behind our house, Luke ran to a patch of flowers and quickly snatched the tops off of a few blooms. He had done this a few days ago, too, and I had the tops of three beautiful, white iris’ floating in a drinking glass to prove it. Anyway, I was just about to tell Luke that we should leave a few flowers outside so that we could enjoy them as we walked when he spotted more flowers. He said, “Look, Mommy, Popcorn Flowers! I have to get these for you…” As he offered me the priceless bouquet that he tightly held in his little fist, it hit me: Flowers fade and wilt. They’re here today and gone tomorrow. Sometimes it seems that the times we have with our children last just about as long. I want to cherish every hand picked bouquet. Let him pick them all! Afterall, the flowers aren’t nearly as important as the pride he felt in his heart or the memories he planted in mine when he gave them to me.

Besides…they do look a lot like popcorn!
